Due to COVID-19 state and federal guidelines for summer camps, we will not be hosting the 2021 Chris Dudley Basketball Camp in person.
In the past year, we know you all have faced a number of challenges. Our team understands the heavy impact that this past year has had on our campers and staff, and that our camp community is even more crucial during tough times. However, as always, our campers’ health and safety remain our top priority. When applying state and federal camp guidelines and mandates, some of the most remarkable parts of CDBC also present issues, including our international attendance of campers and camp staff, the nature of contact sport, and the limited space in the cabins at the camp property. Thus, we will unfortunately not be hosting CDBC in person this summer. As you can imagine, this was an incredibly difficult conclusion to accept.
Here at the Chris Dudley Foundation, the challenge that has remained in the forefront of our hearts and minds has been how to best serve our campers during this year of uncertainty and upheaval. We are committed to creating unique ways to serve our 2021 campers this summer. Our team is hard at work creating bigger, better, and more interactive opportunities, beyond the format of Virtual CDBC 2020.
While we are certain this is not the news you wanted to hear today, please know that the CDBC family remains strong and adaptive. We are excited to develop unique ways to connect with you this summer and throughout the year.
We are sending love to our campers, their families, our staff and our whole camp family.
