Chris Dudley shares what his average game day schedule was, including testing times, in order to get a better sense on how regimented an NBA player with diabetes’ agenda must be. Keep in mind that Chris played from 1987 to 2003, so Continuous Glucose Monitors were not an option. On a typical home game day, Chris’ schedule would look like the following. See if you can count how many times Chris would test his blood sugar!

Wake up and test

Eat Breakfast

Prepare to drive into the arena for a pregame shoot-around, test before driving.

Arrive at the arena and test
